Your role as Test Engineer

As a crucial member of our award-winning team, a Test Engineer at will have the opportunity to make their mark on a one-of-a-kind Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform. With the responsibility of overseeing the quality of our evolving platform, the role includes defining and conducting functional and technical enhancements hand-in-hand with engineering colleagues. Through dedication to development process cycle improvements, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, and meticulous nightly test coverage, the Test Engineer ensures every new platform release meets our high standards for our clients in the insurance, commercial fleet, or automotive industry

Your responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and maintaining the quality of the product.

  • Contribute to test architecture, test strategy and test specifications.

  • Coordinate with other stakeholders like developers and other test engineers.

What you bring:

  • You have a completed Bachelor or Master degree and 0-4 years of work experience in software testing.

  • You have experience or knowledge of Java or Mendix.

  • You are familiar with Test automation tools like Selenium and Cucumber.

  • You have good knowledge or experience in setting up a testing framework.

  • You have excellent communication and social skills. A good command of the English language is necessary.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate thrives on new technology challenges and possesses an HBO+ degree.

They are eager to immerse themselves in the dynamic narrative of a rapidly expanding startup, are fluent in Dutch (preferably), and reside within the Amsterdam metropolitan area.

Valued added capabilities include experience with Java or Mendix, proficiency with test automation tools like Selenium and Cucumber, and expertise in setting up a testing framework.

We are able to hire a junior or a medior. A junior must be willing to learn and highly motivated. This is someone we can invest in. A medior should have a proven track record in their work with around 3-4 years of experience in the field.

We are looking for a candidate that want to work in a startup company with ambitious growth plans. Who likes to work with an enthusiastic team of 22 colleagues, that genually like to work with each other at the office. Our team is stable and reliable. The perfect candidate has preferable already worked at a (Dutch) startup/scale up company or has a clear motivation to do so.
